  THE BIG CHALLENGE

  The Big Challenge takes place in May. It is a questionnaire about everything we learnt in English: simple past be+ing, phonetics,etc... It is organized for different levels year 7, 8, 9, 10. It is a National Competition. The questionnaire is sent to The Big Challenge; afterwards, the secondary school receives it and says to the students if there are winner. The participants have got their result and their rank. Rewards are given to the winners: laptops, trips in England, Ipod, books, CD-ROM, etc...

  PRELIMINARY ENGLISH TEST (P.E.T)

  P.E.T is an exam for people who can use everyday write and speak English at an intermediate level. It covers all four languages skills: reading, writting, listening and speaking. It is prepared for the exam is a popular way to develop and improve your language skills beacause it provides practical language practice in a variety of everyday work, study. P.E.T reflects the use of language in real life, such as understand signs and announcements, and is accepted by many employers as proof of ability to use English in clerical, secretarial or managerial jobs. It is an exam we can do everywhere in Europe. There aren't much schools which do it in France. A lot of English has got the P.E.T.There are two versions of P.E.T available: P.E.T and P.E.T for schools.

Brevet

The «Brevet» is a certificate of the secondary school.We do it in year 10. There are differents subjects: History and Geography, French and Mathematics.

French: questions of understanding, writing, dictation.

Mathematics: calculates, geometry.

History-Geography: 1st and 2nd World Wars...

Every evaluation and test are very important for the certificate of secondary school. It is during one day:
2 hours for history and geography,
3 hours for french,
2hours for mathematics.
