St Augustin's trips
Introduction
St Augustin organizes different trips for its students in order to work their accent and their vocabulary. Before the trip, there is an e-mail exchange between the twin cities. If it's just a cultural programme, you haven't got pen pals.
England
All the 13 years old (year 7) go to England. They visit Wigan, Ramsgate and London. The cost to go to England is approximately 280 €.
Spain
4ème (year 8) or 3ème (year 9) go to Spain. It's often in April, May or June. The price is 250 € when the teenagers go to Spain for an exchange trip and the price is approximately 330 € when it's just a cultural trip.
Holland
Last year (3ème, year 9), the European section went to Haarlem. During one week, they lived with pen pals, visited the country. Then the Dutch came to France. The cost of the trip was 250 €.
Italy
All of the teenagers who study Latin go to Rome at the end of the year (3ème, year 9).The cost of the trip is approximately 300 €. The teacher of Latin is Mrs Jehanne. The pupils begin to learn the Latin in 5ème (year 7).
Germany
During their second year of German, the students go to Osnabrück. They live with their pen pal's families. The cost is approximately 230€. It's generally in April or May.
Poland
During their second year of bilingual class, the pupils went by plane to Myskow (near Cracovie) for one week. They met their Polish pen pals. They visited Cracovie, Czestokowa and Jasnagora where they could see the “Vierge Noire”. The cost of the trip was approximately 200 €. Then, the Polish pupils went to France to visit the country, Paris and of course Angers!
Belgium
In the first year in the European section, the pupils went to Brussels by bus to visit the European Parliament, the old city of Brussels. In addition to that, they saw many monuments of all Europe in the park called “Mini-Europe”. The cost was 110 €.
